Welcome to United! We know there's a lot to do as a new member of the team, and we want to make enrolling in your benefits as easy as possible. Here's an overview of what you need to know and do.
Review this site.
The pages on this site are great reference tools to find high-level information about our benefits and include quick highlight videos and a look at how other people just like you selected their United benefits and how they use them.
Read your benefits guide.
Visit Your Benefits Resources (YBR) to read your new hire enrollment benefits guide. Visit Flying Together > Employee Services > Health & Insurance (YBR) for single sign-on or go to benefits.ual.com.
Learn about the enrollment process.
Take time to read our Frequently Asked Questions. This summarizes why we offer a 1:1, personalized enrollment experience with a professional benefits counselor and what to expect during your appointment. They will assist in enrolling you in our health and wellness plans.
Get enrolled in your benefits.
Click here to review the Benefits Enrollment Checklist. The checklist outlines how to make an appointment for your benefits counseling meeting. These sessions are the best way to help you fully understand the United plans and programs available to you. They also allow you to ask your questions and get enrolled, all within a 45-minute telephonic appointment.
Although we encourage you to enroll with a counselor, you may also self-enroll online by visiting YBR, available through single sign-on at Flying Together > Employee Services > Health & Insurance (YBR) or through benefits.ual.com. You can also download and access the info through the Alight Mobile app.
Don’t delay in getting enrolled. If you miss your new hire enrollment window, you’ll have to wait until the next Annual Enrollment period to elect benefits or if you experience a qualifying life event during the year.
Know where to get help.
United's team of benefit experts make your enrollment experience easy. Get to know who's who and where to go if you need help along the way.
Alight counselors cannot advise you or process requests regarding time off or medical/disability accommodations related to your job at United. Any such questions should be directed to the Employee Service Center Absence Management team. For additional information, submit a Reasonable Accommodation (RAP) Request through HelpHub or call
New hires can visit united.myenrollmentinfo.com to schedule your personalized enrollment session. You can also call 877-260-7563. Click here for the steps on how to prepare for your appointment.
